Biography
My name is David Smith, I graduated from the Liverpool School of Art in 1997 with
a BA in Fine Art. In 1999 I completed an MA in Twentieth Century History of Art from Goldsmiths College, University
of London. I then went on to acquire a second MA in Continental Philosophy at the University of Essex. Whilst
my focus, through my PhD study, is now mainly levelled on philosophical themes, including Hamann's, Kant's, Nietzsche's, Heidegger's
and Adorno's philosophies of art, I have continued to paint and draw. This website will act as a home for this work,
which I feel deserves a place on the web. I hope you enjoy the work as much as I have enjoyed producing it.
