About the Picture
Produced in the style of an illustration, the tiger’s purpose is simple: playful decoration. Whilst not a literal representation
of a text, he does follow the form of the illustrations I made for Kipling’s Just So Stories. Structurally I found
the idea of an animal touching its nose with its tail amusing. Although a little strained, the tiger’s stripy tail,
arched like a snake, tickles his nose. For once I am not trying to be too serious!
