About the Picture
The fish appears as a wound, a cut, a flash, and a dart. This painting began as a colourful experiment; blue in contrast
to red. The spark between these colours is still the focus of the work. However, beneath the aesthetic concerns runs the
dark primal vitality of the predator: a prehistoric creature scaly and wild that hunts the ocean bed. This is a vibrant painting
that needs no rationalisation.
