About the Picture
A very simple painting, which works as a compliment to the bird tree painting. It shows an alternative side to life than
that of the frivolous partygoers in the earlier work. Here the two birds peck at the farmyard. This is the ideal of work,
counter pointed against the ideal release of the party: the ethical and aesthetic viewpoints.
